Recorded at QuakeCon 2014, this episode is basically more of a test / preview / explanation of our plans for this series and our server.
For the first look at the series, the intro is far more epic than it has any right to be.
The basic concept is just for myself and the other creativity team members to play StarBound. But we’ve modded it with lots of alternate races and some extra goodies to both speed up our game play and make this fit a bit more neatly into the universe of my BOUNDLESS comic.
The basic story of StarBound happens to fit rather neatly into a period in my comic that is less described and sees the expansion of various races into space.
In the actual series, I will likely mute the music despite liking it. It will simply be easier to edit the way I want without the music be broken up.
I will also, hopefully, be able to record at a better resolution as I recorded this in a windowed mode due to space limitations on the hard drive [ I recoreded over 300 GB of footage at QuakeCon in one form or another ]. Thus, there are needless black bars on the sides.
Hopefully, I’ll get the audio a bit more balanced by then.
I also certainly plan to drag members of the creativity team into the show to keep it interesting.
