The day started like any other. But Jack knew little of that which was yet to come.
He awoke at 08:01 am. He went to the bathroom to wash his still sleepy face. Then he went to the kitchen to eat something.
The clock was ticking. 08:30.
Jack had a strange feeling. After a few minutes everything started to vibrate. He could hear a strange noise. An indescribable sound. And it started to get louder.
He looked through the nearest window and saw a giant and bright light surrounding everything . Jack walked away from the window slowly, but… something hit him in the head and he fainted.
After an hour Jack woke up. His house was destroyed.
“NO!” he cried. The entire city had been destroyed and everything lay in ruins! The sky was now dark and sun light couldn’t penetrate the thick clouds.
After a few minutes Jack went into the city to see if there were any survivors . On his way he found only corpses. He couldn’t believe his eyes. His beloved city and all the people within were dead.
Suddenly… Pock !
Some kind of green light struck him. Jack picked up a steel bar and bravely went to see what had hit him. Behind some of the ruins he found a strange creature with many eyes.
He killed it brutally. Mercilessly. Frightened by the corpses he did not want to go further, but had no choice. He heard someone screamed for help.
Like a rocket he went to investigate. In his mind he thought, “Yes! Someone is alive.”
Unfortunately he arrived too late. Two of the strange beasts had killed the poor man.
Jack was so filled with hate that he started screaming like a mad man. And, with his metal bar, he killed the two beasts. He had enough of this. He remembered about the strange light. Now, he was sure that the light had caused everything.
So, he walked in the direction from which he had seen the light…
